Trauma Therapy, with Jackie Chivers and Darran Kenna

Jackie Chivers is a psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of trauma. In this interview she discusses how her own trauma led her into this profession and how she has witnessed the work transform both herself and her clients. We go on to talk about the wider societal impact of trauma on things such as crime, and the changes that might come about in society through addressing it. We also discuss how trauma effects our ability to engage reflectively in typically polarizing areas such as political discussion - and how we can overcome this. Finally we talk about the role trauma can play in opening up creativity and how we might access that without such negative experiences.

Ali Mohamed was the triple agent who worked for Al Qaeda, the CIA, the FBI and US Special Forces all at the same time. He presents a conundrum that may hold the key to a deeper understanding of the States working relationship with terrorism.

Schizophrenia or Spirit Possession - Mike Williamson

Mike Williamson was by his own account 'an ordinary guy with no interest in spiritualism'. He thought it was just 'cranks trying to make money off people'. That was until an injury to his daughters foot led him to a spiritual healer. This began a journey into the world of spiritualism and mediumship, subjects on which Mike has now authored three books.

As part of our continuing series I ask Mike about his experiences with spirit possession and how this phenomenon relates to schizophrenia. I also ask all the obvious questions that jump into my mind which might help shed light on the objective nature of this other realm.

The East Africa Embassy Bombings, (Roads to 9/11 Series with Adam Fitzgerald)

Operation Bojinka - Roads to 9/11 Series with Adam Fitzgerald

In this episode we catch up with Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Centre bombing, as he flees to Pakistan and then the Philippines and plots to bomb multiply airplanes in flight. A plan known as Operation Bojinka.

For those who see 9/11 as principally an Islamist plot, Bojinka is often presented as the template. Adam assess this claim and contrasts it to Operation Norhtwoods, the US Government's plan to fake a shoot down of a civilian plane to justify an invasion of Cuba, which those who see 9/11 as being an 'inside job' point to for a template.

Claire Broad has been a medium for over twenty years and is the co-author of 'Answers From Heaven, Incredible True Stories of Heavenly Encounters and the Afterlife'.
